The National Inclusion Project received $2,000 from Macy's to bring LEAP Forward: Learn. Experience. Achieve. Play. A Curriculum to Foster Greater Inclusion to Children with and without Disabilities. LEAP Forward focuses on closing the achievement gap, giving children with and without disabilities the opportunity to serve their community together, helping children learn about and from one another, providing recreational opportunities that address health issues-especially obesity, and fostering social inclusion. With Macy's support program leaders across the southeast will receive the training necessary to implement this program in their community.
"We are extremely grateful for the support we have received from Macy's. In addition to supporting LEAP Forward, we implemented our holiday awareness campaign and fundraiser, Wrapping For Inclusion at Macy’s. By providing enriching inclusive opportunities, Macy's is making a difference in the lives of children today and for generations to come," said Faye Parker, Board Member.
