One gift. One kid. One camp.
A lifetime of memories.
Every kid deserves a summer full of friendship, independence, and joy. For kids with disabilities, that experience can feel out of reach. You can change that with a gift to the Send a Kid to Camp fund.
HOW IT WORKS

We find a child who’s been waiting for their chance. Families come to us through camp partners who know them, through advocates like social workers, and through parents who find us on their own.
We make sure they are matched with the right camp. We work with the camps and make sure they are ready to include the child — whether that means training, coaching, support or just the means to make it happen. Every match is different, and we tailor our approach to what that child/camp needs.
Together, we make it possible. Every gift is pooled together and collectively, we cover it all. That might mean registration, daily staff support, or making it possible for a family member to come along, too.
You see the impact. We share as much of each child’s story as permission allows, so you know exactly what your generosity made possible.
WHY IT MATTERS
For many families, camp isn’t a given — it’s an impossible choice.
A week of camp ranges from $300 to over $2,000 nationally, and the programs most prepared to welcome a child with a disability often sit at the higher end. For families already stretched thin, finding the right program and affording it can feel impossible.
The National Inclusion Project is here to bridge that gap, one child at a time.

REAL KIDS. REAL CAMPS. REAL IMPACT.
Our collective impact grows with every child we send to camp. Here’s the first story...with more to come.

THEO
Theo is an 11-year-old boy who experiences the world a little differently. He had always wanted to go to camp, but for his family, the cost and the challenge of finding the right program had always gotten in the way.
This summer, Send a Kid to Camp changed that.
Theo went to a camp in Durham, NC, whose team truly understands how to create a place where every child can belong. And it turned out to be exactly the right fit.
- He made new friends and walked to every activity holding hands with them.
- He earned his yellow swim band.
- He zoomed around camp making pterodactyl noises.
- He grew in his ability to speak up for himself and connect with the people around him.

SEND A KID TO CAMP has made belonging a reality...
“I can’t say enough about how much getting to go to Camp has meant to my son. He comes home every day in the funniest, happiest, silliest mood."
"The inclusion team truly ‘gets’ Theo. Everyone is neurodiversity aware and always accommodating. Theo just lights up every day!”
— Theo’s mom
