Congratulations to Amanda Lamb of WRAL for gaining the most votes/donations and winning this year’s Dancing Like the Stars Competition! Thanks to all of our dancers and sponsors we raised over $9500 to make sure that children with and without disabilities can laugh, earn and play TOGETHER. You can find pictures and videos of the event on FB and Twitter #DLTS2017.
What is Dancing Like the Stars?
Similar to the TV show Dancing with the Stars, community members from the Triangle area pair up with professional dancers from Arthur Murray Studios in Cary for 1-2 months to learn a dance while raising money for the National Inclusion Project. Then, on April 22nd at 4pm, they take the stage to show off what they’ve learned for the Dancing Like the Stars competition at the Southern Women’s Show! The dancer who raises the most money for the National Inclusion Project by showtime will win the competition. $1 = 1 vote

How is the winner chosen?
The winner is not the best dancer, but the dancer who raises the most funds for the National Inclusion Project! Every $1 donation = 1 vote. When voting opens, you can make your vote/donation online ($10 minimum online donation) or mail in check/cash (must be received by Friday, April 21st) to:
National Inclusion Project PO Box 110104 RTP, NC 27709
What is the National Inclusion Project?
The National Inclusion Project empowers recreational organizations (i.e. YMCAs, Parks & Rec, Girl Scouts, Kid Museums, Community Centers, etc) to include children with disabilities in ALL of their activities. Supporters and participants of this event will make it possible for children of ALL abilities to laugh, learn and play TOGETHER! Want to know more? Explore our website (About us is a great place to start!) and sign up to receive emails about upcoming events, programs and success stories.
Mark your calendar for April 22 at 4pm to join us for the live event during the Southern Women’s Show at the NC State Fairgrounds, where the dancers will perform for the audience and do their best to gain all the last minute ‘votes’. Winner will be announced at the end of the show.
